On the occasion of National Sports Day\, S.S. Rana & Co. through our CSR init iative\, IP4Kids is organizing Write-a-Thon- 8th Annual Writing Competitio n. The Essay Competition offers an opportunity to young minds to assess & pen down the immense role that sports plays in the legal regime and explor e the various legal avenues where Sports as a subject has significantly em erged in the recent past.

National Sports Day is celebrated in Ind ia on August 29 every year\, to commemorate the birth of great Indian hock ey player Major Dhyan Chand. He has won Gold Medals for India in Olympics in the years 1928\, 1932 and 1936 and placed India’s name in the internati onal diaspora for sports. In the recent times and particularly with the un precedented emergence of online gaming portals\, several legal issues conc erning sports and games in India have surfaced.

THE PROCESS-

  1. Interested students from schools and colleges are invited to submit their essays on any one of the abovementioned topics (as applicable) before the deadline of August 29\, 2024.

  2. Qualified Experts and Judges appo inted by IP4kids and S.S. Rana & Co. will select the best 3 essays in each category.
    3. \n
  3. Following this\, the winners will be announced on https://www.ip4 kids.in/ and on IP4Kids’ social media portals on August 30\, 2024 (Wed nesday). Top 3 essays in each category will be awarded exciting prizes.\n
  4. All participants will be given participation certificates.

    \nNote: The competition intends to provi de a platform to the students to share their views and to raise awareness of our role of IP rights law in Sports Sector. The decision of the Judges shall be final. The organizers of the competition reserve all rights to ch ange the date of announcements of the results and/or the date of announcem ents and publication of the results. The organizers also reserve the right s to withdraw any or both categories of awards if the entries received do not meet the above-mentioned criteria. The organizers also reserve all the rights for publication and reproduction of submitted essays/write ups- du e credit in this regard shall be given to the author(s).
