Independence Day Essay Writing Competition 2026

On the occasion of India’s 79th Independence Day, IP4Kids, a CSR initiative of S.S. Rana & Co., in collaboration with GLIPA (Global Intellectual Property Alliance), proudly presents the Independence Day Essay Writing Competition 2026 for school and college students.

This competition is designed to encourage students to understand the importance of Intellectual Property (IP) and its role in fostering innovation, protecting creativity, promoting entrepreneurship, preserving traditional knowledge, and building a stronger India.
Whether you aspire to be an innovator, entrepreneur, researcher, artist, or policymaker, this is your opportunity to share your ideas and contribute towards the vision of a Viksit Bharat.

COMPETITIONS

Through the following competitions, IP4Kids aims to encourage the students to understand the importance of Geographical Indication (GI) and how protecting it leads to growth of the country.

Essay Writing Competition

Students are invited to submit an original essay on any one of the following topics.

  • IP for Viksit Bharat 2047
  • Protecting India’s Traditional Knowledge in the Digital Age
  • From Startup India to Global India: The Power of Intellectual Property
  • Empowering India’s Green Future through IP

Eligibility

The competition is open to all school and college students.

Competition Rules

  • The content of the essay must be based on one of the prescribed essay themes.
  • Essays must be original and must not be copied or AI-generated.
  • Each participant may submit only one entry.
  • Piracy, copying, and plagiarism are strictly prohibited. Any entry found to have been copied from any source will be disqualified.
  • Essays must be submitted in English or Hindi only.
  • The essay should be 1200–1500 words. Entries exceeding the prescribed word limit will not be accepted.

Entries must be submitted only via email to:info@ip4kids.in

No other mode of submission will be entertained.

Participants must include the following details both in the email body and on the first page of the essay:

  • Name of the Participant
  • Name of the School/College
  • Class/Year of the Participant
  • Postal Address of the School/College
  • Participant’s Postal Address
  • Contact Number of the Participant

Important: Failure to provide the above details will result in disqualification.

No entries will be accepted after the deadline.

Evaluation

A panel of qualified experts and judges will evaluate all eligible entries separately under two categories — School and College.
The Top three entries in each category will be selected based on originality, creativity, relevance to the chosen topic, and overall quality of writing.

  1. Exciting Gifts for the Top Three Winners in each category (School and College)
  2. Certificate of Merit for Winners
  3. Certificate of Participation for All Participants

The winners will be announced on the official IP4Kids website and social media platforms on August 14, 2026.

The organizers reserve the right to modify the date of announcement of the results and/or publication of the results. The organizers also reserve the right to withdraw any award if the entries received do not meet the prescribed criteria.IP4Kids and S.S.
