ESSAY WRITING AND POSTER MAKING COMPETITION IN CELEBRATION OF CHILDREN’S DAY, 2025

Every year, Children’s Day or Bal Divas is celebrated on November 14 to honor the birth anniversary of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, India’s first Prime Minister, who believed that children are the true strength and future of a nation. On this special day, IP4Kids, a CSR initiative of S.S. Rana & Co., celebrates the creativity, imagination, and curiosity of young minds by organizing engaging activities and competitions for school children across the country. The initiative aims to encourage learning through fun while fostering awareness about innovation, creativity, and the importance of respecting original ideas.

COMPETITIONS

Through the following competitions, IP4Kids aims to encourage the students to understand the importance of Intellectual Property and how protecting it leads to growth of the country.

1. Essay Writing Competition
2. Poster Making Competition

TOPICS

Students are invited to submit their creative entries in respect of the aforesaid competitions on the following topics/prompts:

Topics for Essay Writing Competition
For School Students:
  • My Dream Invention and How I would protect it
  • How Cartoons and comics are protected by law
For College Students:
  • Importance of IP rights for startups and creators
  • How IP laws Empowers young Entrepreneurs in India
Topics for Poster Making Competition
  • Empowering Youth through IP

RULES

  • The competitions are open for school/college students.
  • The content of the Essay/Poster should be based on the given topics/ prompts/ theme.
  • The content of the Essay/Poster should not be copied or AI generated.
  • Students can participate in more than one competition. However, only a single entry per competition will be accepted.
  • Piracy/ copying and plagiarism is strictly prohibited. Any entry, if found to be copied from any source shall be disqualified.
  1. Essay Writing Competition
    The essay should be within 1200-1500* word limit. The essay should not exceed the word limit.
  2. Poster Making Competition
    • All the posters should be based on the aforesaid Theme
    • Only Hand-drawn posters are allowed
    • Digitally illustrated or mixed media posters are not allowed.

THE PROCESS

  1. The mode of submissions for the creative entries will be completely online through IP4kids official email ID (info@ip4kids.in) and the deadline for the same will be November 14, 2025. No other mode of submission shall be entertained.
  2. The participants should mention “Children’s Day, 2025in the subject line and provide the following details on the first page of their Essay/ Poster Making respectively and in the email body:
    • Name of the Participant
    • Name of the School/ College
    • Class/ Year of the Participant
    • Postal address of the School/ College
    • Contact details of Participant, including phone number and postal address

      Note: Failure to provide aforesaid details would result in disqualification of the entry.
  3. Entries must be original and in English or Hindi language only.
  4. Qualified Experts and Judges appointed by IP4Kids and S.S. Rana & Co. will select the best 3 entries for each competition.
  5. Following this, the winners will be announced on IP4Kids’s official website (https://www.ip4kids.in/) and social media platforms on or before November 20, 2025

AWARDS –

  1. Exciting gifts will be given to top two winning participants in each competition category along with a Certificate of Merit.
  2. All the participants will be conferred with Certificate of Participation.

Disclaimer: The competition intends to provide a platform to the students to share their views and to raise IPR awareness among them. The decision of the Judges shall be final. The organizers of the competition reserve all rights to change the date of announcements of the results and/or the date of announcements and publication of the results. The organizers also reserve the rights to withdraw any or both categories of awards if the entries thus received do not meet the aforesaid criteria. The organizers also reserve all the rights for Publication and reproduction of essay/write ups, due credit in this regard shall be given to the author(s).
